Compos Mentis

Compos Mentis, to have full control of one’s mind, explores the loneliness we feel as humans. To fill this loneliness, humans have been searching for other lifeforms around the galaxy starting around the 1800’s when Edwin Hubble discovered the Cosmos. Since then, humans have been exploring space, aching to find other forms of life. Compos Mentis compares this longing feeling to being a psychiatric patient stuck inside their confined space with little interaction with only other patients. The patients are craving for synergy with a normal existence but cannot because they are not compos mentis.

Compos Mentis was selected to perform in Arizona State University’s “Undergraduate Project Presentations”(2018) and “Spring Dance Fest” (2019).

Compos Mentis was nominated for the AzDEO Student Choreography Contest and received 1st place.
